The ICC ODI World Cup 2023 in the world of cricket is taking place in India at the end of this year.

This competition will start in October and will continue for a month.It is the first time in history till date that the world cup has been hosted in India alone.Earlier, the World Cup was organized in other countries of the subcontinent along with the Cup.From October we will see a spectacular scene in India.

A total of ten teams will participate in this tournament.
Eight teams have already qualified for the World Cup while the remaining two teams will be selected from the ongoing qualifiers in Zimbabwe.

We will know from the ongoing ICC Qualifiers in Zimbabwe which two teams will join these teams for the World Cup starting in India from October.

Those 6 teams are Zimbabwe, Sri Lanka, Netherlands, Oman, West Indies and Scotland.

This will be the fourth time in India's history to host the World Cup.
But India will be hosting the World Cup for the first time as in all the previous tournaments, India hosted the tournament with other countries in the subcontinent like Pakistan, Sri Lanka or Bangladesh.

The ICC declare the trophy tour starting today will have a long stay in India and then travel to other countries.
ICC sends trophy into space Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad and the unveiling of the trophy was a priceless sight.

According to the draft schedule, India will start their World Cup 2023 season with a match against Australia which will be played on October 8 in Chennai.
The World Cup 2023 venues are Dharamsala, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, Kolkata, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, etc.
World Cup 2023 semi-final and final matches will be played in Mumbai and Kolkata while the grand finale of the tournament will be played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Indian Matches:

The Indian team will play in the group stage with the remaining nine teams in this cup.
Rohit Sharma and his men will begin their campaign against Australia at the Chepauk Stadium on October 8.

The much awaited World Cup match between India and Pakistan will be played on October 15 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. A blockbuster clash has been organized for this match.

Rohit Sharma and his team will take on defending champions England in Lucknow on October 29 and before England's tie, they will play New Zealand at the picturesque Dharamsala Stadium.

The Indian team will face Afghanistan in Delhi while the match against South Africa will be held in Kolkata on November 5.

Pakistan Matches:

Two matches of Pakistan will be held in Kolkata. Those two matches will be played against England and Bangladesh.

will face New Zealand and Australia in Bangalore. Babar Azam and his men will play South Africa and Afghanistan in Chennai.
And their remaining two matches will be against Qualifier 1 and Qualifier 2 in Hyderabad.
